Camel Walk is a dance song, featuring Ike’s stinging Wes-Montgomery-influenced anarchic guitar break and is credited to the Iketts. This odd spelling also turned up later on the Innis single So Fine. On the latter Ikettes album Soul The Hits for Modern, an alternative, faster, take 4 of the song was used. A different version was also released in 1974 on the album (G)old & New. For promotion, the Ikettes performed the song on the tv show „Shindig“ in 1965.

Released December 1964 from Modern Records in America on 7“ vinyl, Camel Walk reached only #107 (Pop).
