Ike & Tina Turner - Come Together - Single

Come Together is a double a-sided single, taken from the album Come Together. It was released at the beginning of 1970, credited to „Ike & Tina Turner & The Ikettes“. The a-side is a Beatles cover, which originally topped the charts one year earlier. A different version with an orchestra background can be heard on the 1976 soundtrack album All This And World War. The flip-side is a Rolling Stones cover from 1969 which also topped the charts. Ike & Tina performed both songs live in their concerts as well as on the German tv show „Beat Club“. Live versions were released on the album „Live In Paris“. Tina performed „Honky Tonk Women“ also live at her Nice 'N' Rough solo concerts, together with the Rolling Stones in 1981 and with Mick Jagger while she was on her Break Every Rule Tour in Japan.
