The Ed Sullivan Show was an American tv show, broadcasted on the CBS network and hosted by the New York entertainment columnist Ed Sullivan. The first show was on Sunday, June 20, 1948 and the last show on June 6, 1971. Ike & Tina Turner were guest on January 11, 1970 and performed two songs live. Both tracks are included on home video, released in 2006 from eagle Vision on DVD.

Ed Sullivan: „Over the years, many couples performed together on The Ed Sullivan Show, like Louis Prima and Keely Smith, Gordon and Sheila MacRae and Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. But none could top the power couple that was Ike and Tina Turner. The husband and wife R&B duo appeared only once on The Ed Sullivan Show, but their explosive performance is unforgettable.“
