Tina Turner & Elton John - Duet

Live in London (Wembley Arena) 1985

Elton John is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. Collaborating with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967 on more than 30 albums, John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Tina used Elton’s song „The Bitch Is Back“ for her early solo concerts as the opening number and recorded a studio version for her first solo album Rough after the divorce from Ike. In 1985, both performed for the first time together on stage, as Elton joined Tina at the Wembley Arena in London as part of her Private Dancer Tour and performed with her the encore song „Dancing In The Dark“ from Bruce Springsteen. In 1991, Tina participated in the Two Rooms project and recorded once again a new version of The Bitch Is Back“ for the Elton John tribute album. Then in 1999, they performed together at the Divas Live charity concert two songs live, which was the last collaboration together.
