Feel Good returned Ike & Tina to their R&B roots with a blistering mix of soul, R&B and early funk. It has only one cover version with the Beatles She Came In Through the Bathroom Window and nine songs written by Tina Turner. For promotion, Ike & Tina performed the title track at several tv shows in America.
Released July 1972 from United Artists Records on vinyl with a gateforld cover and 8-track cartridge, Feel Good reached #28 (R&B) and #160 (Pop) in America. The album was reissued from Raven Records on the double CD Nutbush City Limits / Feel Good in 2006.

The Turners have another top flight album here especially in the driving numbers, such as "If You Can Hully Gully (l Can Hully Gully Too)" and Lennon-McCartney's, "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window." Nine of 10 tunes are Tina's own compositions. Other cuts by this always exciting act include "Bolic," "You Better Think of Something," "Black Coffee" and the title single.
