Gimme Shelter is a documentary movie about The Rolling Stones 1969 US tour, which culminated in the disastrous Altamont concert. The film includes a scene with Ike & Tina Turner, performing I’ve Been Loving You Too Long at Madison Square Garden in New York City. This concert was later featured on the 1969 live album „Get Yer Ya-Yas Out,“ which was reissued in 2009 as a three disc set, including some more songs from Ike & Tina.

The movie with a running time of approximately 91 minutes came to cinemas on December 06, 1970, produced by Porter Bibb and Ronald Schneider and directed by Albert and David Maysles and Charlotte Zwerin. It was also released on home video on VHS and DVD.
