Rocks The Blues is the first album credited to Ike Turner, including almost songs recorded during the 50s. The medley „All The Blues, All The Time“ is a juxtaposition of classic blues themes of nearly 9 minutes. All instrumental tracks, which show Turner's raw guitar ability, are also available on the CD Ike’s Instrumentals. The album was originally released in 1963 from Crown Records in America and in 1968 from Ember Records in England on vinyl. It was reissued on compact disc from P-Vine Records in 2003.
