Somebody Needs You is a very rare single with two previously unreleased non album tracks, released in 1965 in the U.S. and one year later in the UK. For Ike & Tina, the title track was at this time stylistically very unusual, because their song material had a harder, R&B inflected edge. A version with audience overdubs of the title track was also included on the album The Ike & Tina Turner Show Vol. 2. In the UK, an additional 4 track extended play single was realeased, including two live tracks from the album Live - The Ike & Tina Turner Show Vol. 1. Both songs were reissued on the 1991 CD sampler „Finger Poppin - The Warner Years“.
