Way Of The World is a wonderful ballad, written by Albert Hammond and Graham Lyle. Released as the second single from Tina’s greatest hits compilation Simply The Best, it reached #13 on the UK charts. Tina filmed a beautiful black and white music video to promote the single, in which she looks absolutely stunning. This video was released in two different versions: An U.S. version and a slightly different „Anglo Cut“ for Europe. Both videos are available on the LaserDisc release of the Simply The Best video collection. In 1992, Tina received for the video the award „Goldene Kamera“ in the category „Music Video of the Year“ in Germany. Although Tina never performed the song on any tour, a live version is available from the tv show „Top of the Pops“ from 1991.
The greatest hits album "Simply The Best" includes the glittering highlights of an unrivaled showbiz career, featuring fifteen of TINA TURNERS greatest songs, including world hits like "What's Love Got To Do With It", "Private Dancer" and" "Typical Male". In addition, we also find three brandnew titles, which Tina presents for the first time on this album. One of these new tracks is "WAY OF THE WORLD", a catchy midtempo number by Albert Hammond and Graham Lyle. The two top authors have already written some of Tina’s greatest chart successes - individually and collectively - just remember the title "I Don’t Wanna Lose You", which they wrote together as well.
