TINA: Duet

John Fogerty (2000)

Tina Turner & John Fogerty - Duet

John Fogerty is an American singer-songwriter and founder of the band Creedence Clearwater Revival, with Proud Mary as one of the biggest hits of the band in 1969. Ike & Tina Turner covered the song two years later and released as a single, it was Ike & Tina’s biggest hit in America. It’s one of the few Ike & Tina songs which Tina continuously performed live in her solo concerts. In 2000, John Fogerty was the opening act at selected dates of Tina’s Twenty Four Seven Tour in Europe, where they used the opportunity for an unique performance of Proud Mary together at London’s Wembley Arena.
