Michel Comte is a Swiss artist, filmmaker, fashion and portrait photographer. He started his career as an art restorer, specializing in contemporary artworks such as Andy Warhol and Yves Klein. In 1979, he was discovered by Karl Lagerfeld who gave him his first international assignment for Chloé and later Chanel. He became well-known for his work with magazines like Vogue and Interview and has worked with brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, BMW and Ferrari amongst others.

In 1993, he photographed Tina Turner with clothes from Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Armani, Bob Mackie and Michael Schmidt for the special 'Turns It On‘, published in the May issue of the Vanity Fair magazine.
