Richard Busch is an American photographer, editor and writer since 1967. He worked for several magazines such as Life, Esquire, New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, and several other publications. His work has been exhibited in several galleries and he published twelve books of photographs, seven of which have been acquired for the Library collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

He photographed Ike & Tina Turner in 1969 while their residency at the International Hotel in Las Vegas live on stage and he shoot some promotional pictures from the duo in the desert around Las Vegas. Pictures from this session were later used for the album Ooh Poo Pah Doo, a reissue of the album The Ike & Tina Turner Show (Vol. 2). He is also credited for the original American Get It Together cover picture and for the  photographs in the June 1970 issue of „Show“ magazine.

„I was lucky in the late 1960s and mid-'70s to have photographed some rock stars and other musicians, some of whom I met in person. Some were famous rockers, others just ordinary people making music in their own way. I treasure those experiences.“
