Siempre En Domingo (1986)

Siempre En Domingo (Always on Sunday) was a Mexican music television programme, broadcasted mostly live from Mexico City from 1969 until 1998. Raúl Velasco was the host of the weekly show, which reached an audience about more than 350 million viewers in Mexico, America and Europe. In August 1986 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami (Florida), they produced a special with guests like Barry Manilow, Vicente Fernandes, The Bangles, Emmanuel, Celia Cruz and Tina Turner. When asked why she accepted the invitation to play „Siempre en Domingo,“ Tina answered that it was for her many fans in South America. Beside her recent hit single Typical Male, she performed also two additional songs.
