Soul To Soul (1971)
Soul To Soul was a concert festival for Ghanas 14th Independence Day on March 6, 1971 at the Black Star Square in Accra. An array of mostly American r&b, soul, rock, and jazz musicians like Wilson Picket, Santana, Roberta Flack, The Staple Singers and Ike & Tina Turner (including the Ikettes Ester Jones, Vera Hamilton and Jean Brown) were invited to participate in this event. The concert was later released for cinemas, on home video and selected performances on the soundtrack album.
