1984

was written by David Bowie in 1973, inspired by George Orwell's same named novel. It was first released on Bowie’s album „Diamond Dogs“ in 1974. Tina Turner covered the song in 1984 for her comeback album Private Dancer. She never performed it live on stage or promoted it on television.
