Beat Club (1971 - 1972)

Beat Club was a German music program from September 1965 to December 1972 with 83 episodes. It was co-created by Gerhard Augustin, who was also Ike & Tina’s manager in the 70’s. Host was Uschi Nerke. At their first appearance in 1971, Ike & Tina perfomed a mini concert with eight songs, including two from The Ikettes. One year later, they promoted their European single Get Back. The show was replaced in 1972 with Musikladen, in which Ike & Tina and Tina solo appeared as well several times. Parts of Ike & Tina's performances have been released on the home video Best of Musikladen in 2000.
