Boxtop (1958)

Ike Turner - Boxtop - Single

Boxtop is the very first single with (background) vocals from Anna Mae Bullock (Little Ann) on the title track. At this time, Anna Mae was not married with Ike Turner and there was no Ike & Tina Turner Revue. Only two years later with A Fool In Love, Ike & Tina started their career as a duo. The single was re-issued in it’s original format from Secret Records in 2011 on a 10“ vinyl disc, together with the album „Jack Rabbit Blues - The Singles 1958 - 1960“.
