IKE & TINA: Single

Delilah’s Power (1975)

Ike & Tina Turner - Delilah's Power - Single

Delilah’s Power is an European and Australian single, with two tracks written by Tina Turner. It’s also the title track of the album Delilah’s Power, which was curiously not released before 1977, after Ike & Tina’s separation. The single should promote the duos 1975 tour, which started in London in October. Ike & Tina performed the song live at some TV-Shows in Europe like the German Musikladen, but never in their concerts. The b-side was taken from the album Nutbush City Limits. The American promotional disc contains a short spoken intro from Tina, but the track wasn’t released officially in North America. It’s the very last single from Ike & Tina before Tina left Ike on July 2, 1976.
