Ike Turner was involved as a session musician on many single releases of other musicians like B.B. King and Howlin Wolf. His first and very sucessful solo single was „Rocket ‚88“, which however was released under the name of the singer „Jackie Brenston“. In the early sixties and after the opening of his own recording studio „Bolic Sound“, Ike released several and partly obscure solo singles and promos, but none of them ever charted. The very last one was in 1974 with „Father Alone“.
