27 St. Louis Sizzlers is an European sampler with most of the songs from Ike & Tina’s early days. It includes all tracks from the duos debut album The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner from 1961 (also the cover picture was taken from this album), as well as from the longplayer Dynamite! (with the exception of the track „I Had a Notion“) and It’s Gonna Work Out Fine - both from 1963.
Disc two features the complete album Dance with Ike & Tina’s Kings of Rhythm from 1962 with Instrumentals. All longplayer were originally released from Sue Records and most of the tracks were written and produced by Ike Turner.
