The Andy Williams Show was an American variety show from 1962 until 1971. The Ike & Tina Turner Revue was twice guest with performances of their recent singles. The first appearance was in 1969 at „Andy's Love Concert,“ a special taped at the Los Angeles Music Center's Mark Taper Forum. Other guests included Joe Felciano, Scottish folk singer Donovan and special guest stars Tom and Dick Smothers. The second appearance was filmed at the end of 1969 but was not broadcast before 1970.
At both appearances, Tina performed also the song „City Girl, Country Boy“ together with Andy Williams as a wonderful duet. It's a cover version of the Billy Vera and Judy Clay single from 1968 with the slightly different title „Country Girl, City Man“. A studio version was only released on a 10“ one sided promo acetate in 1972 and it was officially released for the first time on the rarities sampler His Woman, Her Man in 2004.
