Grand Gala du Disque was an annual Dutch music gala for classical music and popular music with national and international artists, founded in 1960. It was for many years the most popular TV-Show in Holland. Ike & Tina Turner with the band and the Ikettes (Ester Jones, Edna Richardson and Claudia Lennear) have been guests at the RAI Congress Center in Amsterdam on March 07, 1969 alongside other stars like Gladys Knight and The Pips, Miriam Makeba, Peggy March, Chet Atkins, Buck Owens and the Sandpipers. The duo opened with the song Respect and the setlist included also the track We Need An Understanding.
