Two Is A Couple is the first of two singles, after Ike & Tina re-signed to Sue Records in late 1965, featuring two non album tracks. Tina promoted it on the American TV-Show Where The Action Is in 1965. The title track was later re-issued as a bonus on the double CD Don’t Play Me Cheap / It’s Gonna Work Out Fine in 2004 and a different version is available on the album Airwaves from 1978. The b-side track is a very unusual song for Ike & Tina and only available on this single. It was reviewed in CashBox magazine on October 17, 1965 as well as in Billboard magazine in it’s issue from October 23.
