Poor Fool is the first single from the album Dynamite and Ike & Tina’s next big chart hit in 1961. The b-side track was taken from the album The Soul of Ike & Tina Turner. A different version of the title track was released on the rarities sampler „Those Were The Days“ in 1991. Ike & Tina promoted the song on the tv show „American Bandstand“ in 1962.

Released in November 1961 from Sue Records in America on 7“ vinyl, Poor Fool reached #4 (R&B) and #38 (Pop).

CashBox Magazine - November 18, 1961: (Sue 753) Ike & Tina Turner come thru in sensational follow-up (to "It’s Gonna Work Out Fine") fashion with this new Sue slice. It’s a pounding, chorus-backed rock-a-cha-cha, tabbed "Poor Fool,” that vocalist Tina and maestro Ike deck out with sock, dual-mart sales authority. Should spread like wildfire in the days to come. Flip "You Can’t Blame Me" a fetching thump-a- rhythm entry that highlites a delightful vocal duet by Ike & Tina.
