TINA: Song

Private Dancer

is a wonderful pop ballad, the title song and the fifth single from the album Private Dancer. Because the song is sung from the perspective of a high-class prostitute, it remained unreleased from a Dire Straits recording session, because Mark Knopfler thought it’s a song for a woman. Tina performed it live at every concert tour, available on many home videos.
