Simply The Best (40 Years Tina Turner) is a documentary from the German TV channel VOX on the occasion of the anniversary of her first solo album Tina Turns The Country On and the release of the new collection Love Songs. Tina herself reports about the highs and lows of her career in various interviews from each decade, including current statements never before seen on German television. Also fellow musicians such as Mick Jagger and David Bowie, companions such as her former road manager Rhonda Graam and director David Mallet as well as her biographer Kurt Loder get a word. There are numerous videos and concert recordings as well as exclusive pictures of her wedding to her German husband Erwin Bach and excerpts from her honeymoon interview with Oprah Winfrey. Included are also many rare photos and an interview with the German journalist Alex Gernandt from the magazine Bravo, whom Tina gave an exclusive interview back in 1989.
