Tearing Us Apart (1987)

Tearing Us Apart is a rock song from Eric Clapton with Phil Collins playing the drums and percussions. It’s a duet with Tina Turner and was released as the second single from Eric’s album August. Tina and Eric performed the song live at the Prince’s Trust concert in London’s Wembley Arena, released the following year on the Royal Concert charity album. A second live recording of the track from Tina's Break Every Rule Tour with a guest appearance from Eric Clapton was included on the album Live in Europe. An otherwise never officially released extended version of the song is only available on an American 12“ promotional record, misnamed as LP version. Tina did also the backing vocals on the b-side track „Hold On“.
