The BRIT Awards were founded in 1977 as the British Phonographic Industry's annual music awards. Tina never received the award, but presented it three times to other artists. In 1985, she performed her #1 hit single What’s Love Got To Do With It and in 1989, she performed together with the entire cast on stage of the Royal Albert Hall at the finale of the show, when the 'Brits Supergroup' accompanied Randy Newman on his song „Falling In Love“.
