The Grammy Hall of Fame was established by the Recording Academy's National Trustees in 1973 to honor recordings of lasting qualitative or historical significance that are at least 25 years old. Inductees are selected annually by a special member committee of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts. Tina Turner is a three-time winner with the song River Deep - Mountain High in 1999 and Proud Mary in 2003 (both together with Ike Turner) and solo with What’s Love Got To Do With It in 2012.
Beside this 3 Hall of Fame Awards, Tina Turner won also 7 Grammy Awards from 25 nominations and received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Ike Turner solo won his first Grammy in 2007, after he was first nominated in 1970.
