Tina Turner - Hot For You Baby - Single

Hot For You Baby

Single (2025)

Hot For You Baby is a previously unheard song, recorded in 1982 at a session at Capitol Studios in Hollywood together with two other songs. It was rediscovered on the master tape, while Capitol compiled a 40th Anniversary Edition of the album Private Dancer in 2024 and received it’s first play on the BBC Breakfast Show. The track is an up-tempo rocker, full of showboating guitar chords. It was first recorded in 1979 by Scottish-Australian singer John Paul Young, the voice behind disco classic „Love Is In The Air.“

„We had the joy of working with Tina in the mid 90’s on our song 'Confidential' and now it’s a pleasure to be able to remix this funky song from the 80’s with an awesome vocal from Tina.“ — Pet Shop Boys
