was an American fashion photographer and director, known for his photographs of celebrities, models and others in the 1980s and 1990s. His work concentrated on black and white photography and portraits, often in the style of classical Greek sculptures.

After he photographed Brooke Shields for the cover of Elle, Olivia Newton-John for her Physical album and Madonna for her album True Blue, he started to work for the first time with Tina Turner for her album Break Every Rule in 1986. Since then, he was responsible for the cover pictures for Foreign Affair in 1989 (only center picture), Simply The Best in 1991, What’s Love Got To Do With It in 1993 and again for Tina’s last studio album Twenty Four Seven in 1999. He also directed the wonderful music video for Way Of The World in black and white and he photographed the cover picture for Tina’s first biography I, Tina in 1986.

After 1976 he changed his direction and become a photographer of fashion and glamour models, as well as stars of the music industry for newspapers and magazines. He worked with all the big names in show business, among others with The Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, Madonna, David Bowie and Tina Turner. Aris also photographed nearly everybody from the Royal family, including Queen Elizabeth.

Brian photographed the American cover picture for Tina’s Private Dancer album in contrast to the European version, which was shoot by Peter Ashworth. For the compilation Queen of Rock 'N’ Roll, they used a picture for the cover from a later photo session (approximately 1986).

is a photographer and filmmaker, born 1939 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Since he moved to the United States, he has documented over 500 sessions with artists of many disciplines including musicians, actors, writers and politicians including Ray Charles, Joni Mitchell, Steve Jobs, Steve Martin as well as Ike & Tina Turner and Tina Turner solo.

He was a great admirer of the artistry of both Ike and Tina and the session with the duo in 1975 was the first he documented on 16mm film. He also was responsible for the Photography and Art Direction for some of their albums like What You Hear Is What You Get in 1971 and Let Me Touch Your Mind from 1973.

„The footage was riveting. There was incredible energy and vitality between them. Tina was a whirlwind of freedom and spontaneity and she was teasing Ike, trying to get him to loosen up, but there was an edge about it. It was as if she was challenging him just a bit. It felt almost dangerous but at the same time ecstatically creative. Ike, on the other hand, was reserved and controlled. He was very charismatic. He had a regal, majestic quality about him, and a tremendous sense of who he was. A planned shot of the pair kissing didn’t pan out— the two never quite got there. I didn’t see love and affection between them as much as I saw an intense creative interaction.“
