Women Of The Year Awards (2005)

The Women Of The Year Awards is an annual charity lunch for women achievers. Each year, a nominating council elects just 450 women to attend the annual „Women of the Year Lunch,“ handpicked for their achievements and contribution to society. Each guest is regarded as a „Woman of the Year,“ representing herself, her work and the millions of extraordinary women who make a difference every day.

Tina Turner received the award at the 50th anniversary celebration in honour to an exceptional woman, whose conduct in both her personal and her public life has been both brave and bold; building her life on her own terms and motivating women throughout the world to survive and to succeed with style and character. She received the award alongside ClaireBerts, the nurse who inspired Live Aid.
