Ike Turner - Confined to Soul - Album

Strange Fruit is an instrumental funk-rock-blues album from Ike Turner with „The Family Vibes“, previously known as „The Kings of Rhythm“. In the early 70’s Ike started a new creative and artistic season and released in 1972 and 1973 four solo records - two credited to him and two credited to „The Family Vibes“. In „Strange Fruit,“ the band sounds close-knit as never before, with Ike's compositions greatly arranged in a very complex way. The melodic structures are more meditated, with „Happy But Lonely“ and „1-8-1-2“ as the standout tracks.
