Countdown (Europe) was the European version of Countdown (Australia), aired from 1977 until 1993 in 18 countries, making it one of the most successful music shows in the history of television.

Tina’s first appearance was from a concert at the Maaspoort in Den Bosch, Netherlands on February 17, 1984 as part of Countdown Rock Night. One year later she performed live from her Private Dancer Tour, where she received gold and platin for her album Private Dancer. In 1986, she was for the first time a musical guest and performed two songs from her recent album Break Every Rule. In 1989, she promoted Foreign Affair with a set of four songs and the last appearance was in 1990, live from her Foreign Affair Tour with the presentation of gold and platinum discs and an interview.
