Cher was an American variety show that premiered on CBS in 1975, hosted by singer-actress Cher. The show had many famous guests like David Bowie, Bette Midler, Elton John and Ike & Tina Turner with live performances and sketches.
Ike & Tina have been guests twice in 1975. At their first appearance in April, they performed together their mega seller Nutbush City Limits and Tina together with Cher the track Shame, Shame, Shame and a medley with several Beatles songs. In October, they have been guests once again with their last chart hit Baby, Get It On, the never performed song „Country Side Of Life“ and a medley with Cher and the British actor and musician Anthony Newley.
Ike & Tina’s performances from April 27 have been released on the home video I Got You Babe: The Best of Sonny & Cher in 2020.
