Grand Opening of Euro Disney (1992)

Euro Disney (now Disneyland Paris) is the second entertainment resort from Disney outside of America, located in Chessy, France, 32 km east of the centre of Paris. The Grand Opening of Euro Disney in 1992 was simultaneously broadcasted live across Europe in five languages as well as later the same day in the United States. The special included performances from stars like Jose Carreras, Cher, Gloria Estefan, The Temptations and Tina Turner. The evening concluded as the park was officially opened with Mickey Mouse throwing wide the castle doors, welcoming the world to the Euro Disney Resort.
