Ike & Tina Turner - Her Man...His Woman - Album

Billboard - February 20, 1971

After years of paying dues and appealing to a concerned minority, Ike and Tina are finally beginning to break through. This album, which captures the dynamic duo in typical urgent style, lacks their soul treatment on contemporary progressions rockers, but is down home soul. Examine what Tina does with the blues/gospel warhorse „My Baby.“

Ike & Tina Turner - Her Man...His Woman - Album

Ike & Tina … a couple … tempestuous ... professional partners … lovers … stars … husband and wife ... they do it all so well ... Ike … the man behind the woman … writer … artist ... director … creator … her man … he does it all so well … Tina … the woman behind the man … girl in the spotlight … the queen … fabulous chick … darling of showbusiness … down … for real … adorable … electrifying … singer … his woman … she does it all so well ...

Ike & Tina Turner … one of the greatest shows on earth ... a bolt of lightning … an explosion … and this album … torchy and cool … one of those real … good … solid dancing-listening albums … they do it all so well.
