The Hollywood Star was an award, presented from the German magazine Hollywood, which was monthly issued about the topics music, movie, video and television. Tina Turner won this award in 1986 in the category „Best Female Singer,“ voted by the readers of the magazine. David Knopfler, a founder and member of the Dire Straits and the brother of Mark Knopfler presented the award to Tina in 1987 before a concert at the Waldstadion in Gießen, as part of Tina's Break Every Rule Tour.
