The Ike & Tina Turner Show (Vol. 2) is the successor of the previously released Volume 1 with recordings from the Skyliner Ballroom (Fort Worth, Texas) and the Lovall's Ballroom (Dallas, Texas). It contains songs with lead vocals by The Ikettes and Tina Turner. The album was originally released only in North America but later also worldwide and was re-issued in 1967 on the Loma label. In 1969, the same tracks were re-released under the different title Ooh Poo Pah Doo and both volumes were first issued on compact disc in 2000.

„The Ike And Tina Turner Show (Vol. 2)“ is a rousing, wailing package that might easily establish itself as a big sales item in R&B circles. Among the numbers on the set are „Shake A Tail Feather,” „You Must Believe Me,” „Somebody (Somewhere) Needs You,” and „Keep On A Pushin’.” This one could really happen for Ike and Tina Turner.
