Ike & Tina Turner - The Archive Series Vol. 1 & 2 - Album

The Archive Series Vol. 1 & 2 (Hits & Classics) is a German two disc set and the first of six volumes of studio alternate takes, live recordings, previously unreleased tracks and versions from Ike & Tina Turner, also featuring The Ikettes. The sampler comes with a trifold cover and a twelve page booklet, featuring some pictures from the duo and extensive liner notes. All tracks are remastered and partly remixed. The track „Stand By Me“ is taken from the live album The World of Ike & Tina, but is mixed like a studio version and „Gimme Some Lovin“ was previously only available as an instrumental track on the album In Person. Last but not least, it features two songs from Tina’s very first solo album Tina Turns The Country On, which is until today not available on compact disc.
