Lionel Richie (1984)

Lionel Richie is an American singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and actor. His recordings with the funk and soul band Commodores and during his solo career made him one of the most successful balladeers of the 1980s.

At the beginning of 1984, Tina recorded her new album Private Dancer and went on tour with Lionel Richie as an opening act for promotion. After her own set of approximately forty minutes, she returned on stage during Richie’s show for the song Hot Legs and the duet „Three Times A Lady“ together with Lionel. Sixteen years later at Tina’s Twenty Four Seven Tour in 2000, Lionel was the opening act of Tina’s shows, but this time unfortunately without any collaboration on stage.
