What You Get Is What You See is a up-styled country-tinged rock track with Eric Clapton on guitars and the third single from the Break Every Rule album in 1987. The live version from the single b-side was taken from the Break Every Rule home video from 1986. In the UK, a special gatefold maxi was released, including the „Tina Turner Montage Mix“. The previously unreleased track „Take Me To The River“ from the maxi single is an edited version. A slightly longer version is only available on the Break Every Rule US single. In Australia, the song was used in a commercial for the New South Wales Rugby League in 1989. Tina performed the song at several tv shows for promotion and live at her Break Every Rule Tour as well as twenty years later at her 50th Anniversary Tour in 2008 / 2009.
